Mining & exploration
Large drill core, ROM ore, and bulk geological samples before pulverising, bottle rolls, or fire-assay splits.
Vector VTR-1011-XL Thor — heavy-duty continuous-feed jaw crusher with 300 × 450 mm jaws, up to 90 mm feed, 295 mm jaw width, ~1 mm minimum product, 150–300 kg/h throughput, 7.5 kW drive, Mohs ≤ 8, 7″ touchscreen HMI, jam detect & clear, optional automatic splitter.
200 mm max feed · Mohs ≤ 8 · 7″ touchscreen · up to ~150 kg/h continuous
The Vector VTR-1011-XL Thor is a continuous-feed, heavy-duty primary jaw crusher for laboratories and industrial sample-prep lines that routinely see large lumps, hard rock, and high daily throughput — exploration cores, run-of-mine fragments, clinker, and refractory ceramics before milling, splitting, or assay.
A 300 × 450 mm jaw accepts feed up to about 200 mm in maximum dimension, with stepless gap 0–30 mm and practical output down to about 1 mm so many workflows stay on a single primary stage. Throughput reaches about 150 kg/h under continuous operation; a 5.5 kW drive delivers torque for materials up to Mohs hardness 8, with jam detection and automatic reverse-clear. Operator control uses a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen HMI for stored crush profiles and live status, with a dedicated start/stop, front-access emergency stop, and an optional automatic sample splitter for subsampling without stopping the crusher. The machine is built for CE machinery expectations — safety-critical functions are implemented in hardware independent of the HMI — and supports aggregate and rock sample-prep chains where practices such as ASTM D75/C702 are used before chemical assay, grindability, or construction-materials tests.

Thor is purpose-built for primary reduction wherever geology, mining, metallurgy, or materials science workflows start with physically large or very hard specimens.
Large drill core, ROM ore, and bulk geological samples before pulverising, bottle rolls, or fire-assay splits.
High-hardness ores and alloys reduced for certification, furnace feeds, and parallel QC splits.
Oversized rock and core for thin sections, XRD, ICP-OES/MS, and further comminution steps.
Clinker, limestone blocks, aggregates, and slag crushed to controlled top sizes for chemical and physical testing.
Pre-crushing of sintered ceramics, corundum, and oxide refractories before fine grinding.
Coal and coke prep routes, plus research on very hard composites where specimen mass and hardness both run high.
Performance characteristics focused on feed capacity, hardness headroom, operator control, and line integration — what matters when every shift has to clear the sample queue.
Load large core sections and coarse fragments directly — reducing manual breaking and secondary transfers compared with compact jaw units.
Continuous gap setting from 0–30 mm supports coarse primary work through finer passes so ball mills and ring mills see a controlled top size.
Designed for steady feeder-style operation at up to about 150 kg/h — suited to exploration prep halls, assay support, and industrial QC lanes.
Hard ores, quartz-rich rocks, refractory ceramics, and high-strength alloys within the stated hardness band — with jam detection and automatic reverse-clear to limit overload trips.
Capacitive touchscreen for stored crush profiles, gap-related settings, and status; separate tactile start/stop and always-reachable emergency stop alongside software controls.
Representative subsampling of the discharge without stopping crushing — duplicate, reject, and referee splits for high-throughput analytical programmes.

Most bench and floor laboratory jaw crushers are limited to roughly 50–110 mm maximum feed. That is adequate for many QC routes — but not when oversized drill core, coarse ROM fragments, or hard refractory pieces arrive straight from the field and would otherwise need hand-breaking or an extra pre-crush step.
Large single-pass envelope — up to ~200 mm feed versus ~90 mm on the Vector Nysos, so fewer handling steps before the same downstream mills and presses.
Hard-material headroom — 5.5 kW drive and geometry aimed at sustained duty on materials up to Mohs 8 where smaller drives risk stall or accelerated wear.
Automation-friendly — stored profiles on the HMI, jam-aware motor control, and an optional automatic splitter align Thor with high-throughput exploration and assay lines.
